The biggest problem with stamina is that it turns Atlantica Online Gold into AFK Online (Away From Keyboard Online). Once you get auto craft, you might as well just auto craft, wait for stamina to regenerate, and wait for the next free league event to start. Level through free league and just win chains. Meis on Thebes for example has won 130+ free league matches in a row now and gets 5 advanced experience books (10k exp) per win. Otherwise just auto craft, watch your guild gain attendance points, watch guild mates recruit people to your town to earn exp. Use guild money to buy crafting materials. Wait for the next PvP event, repeat.
There were other minor changes such as limiting the number of item boxes players can open each day or skill books they can obtain from the book exchange npc, but nothing that really makes that much of a difference.
New Complaints (2/2009):
Since the new updates recently, I've had more complaints about the game. First off is the attempt at "more competitive" free leagues. By introducing this, they have destroyed the entire point of free league. Free league is meant to be a competition between players and the divisions are are represenation of how strong they are compared to other players. If anything, there should be no level limits on divisions at all so that only overall wins and losses determine division rankings and matches should only pair people up with players at the same division. The new ranking system forces upon each player a division based on their level and players are still matched up between players of up to 2 divisions different.
Second, the item mall. Although it is only temporary, they offer increasingly more powerful mounts and now wings at the item mall. The mounts were more powerful than the Byzantine Elephant from the events and the wings are pretty much like mounts but for offensive instead of defense. Both are only obtainable from the item mall. These items easily gives players 2000 extra defense, 1500 extra hp, and 200 more attack power leaving non item mall users to be trampled on. Oriharukon stones anyone? +10 equipment for everyone who wants to spend their money on it. Now they keep introducing more powerful item mall items with passing updates and it makes me wonder. Does this game have any room left for non item mall users? A fully equipped level 80 team with item mall boosts can easily compete against a fully equipped level 97 team just because of the sheer power boost from the main character. The other mercenaries just serve as a shield until the main character gets the AoE skill off.
